Mile Durkheim is pointed as one of first the great theoreticians of sociology, and its ideas are essential for the understanding of the reality of the social world. Durkheim allowed that sociology was emancipated of the social philosophy, it placed and it as a new disciplines autonomous worker, characterized for the scientific and methodological severity. Still, it defined with clarity the types of events on which the sociologist would have to support itself (the social facts).
