About Toni
Hi, I’m Toni and I’d like to welcome you to my little corner of the Web. I’ve been writing for my own pleasure and mental health for years, ever since I was a kid, and I’ve decided it’s time to inflict my writing on share my thoughts with anyone who cares to listen.
I’m in my early thirties, and live a quiet and pleasant life in the Midwest. During the day I work as a manager in a local food coop, while at night my true self emerges and I crawl the streets of my hometown looking for a mic and a spotlight.
OK, I’m over-dramatizing again. I play the guitar and sing, and make fairly regular appearances at various open-mics around town in bars, coffee shops, and even a church basement on occasion. I rarely do any of my own songs; I tend to stick to covers of songs that I particularly like. A lot of them are your typical chick with a guitar tunes, but I occasionally refashion something a little more out there into a guitar and voice arrangement.
I never considered myself much of a pet person, but a few months ago I found myself adopted by a stray puppy. Spent weeks putting up signs, asking around the neighbors and local stores, but to no avail. Until someone comes along and gasps “Dang, that’s my dog!” then he and I are partners.
Nice of you to stop by, hope you’ll be back.
